Happy 4th of July!!!

Hi there. how is everyone?? I've been very lazy today.. but, that doesn't mean I haven't been busy every other day... =) Let's see... I've been given the opportunity to hostess a forum over at Scrapbooking and Crafting Friends.. the Music is a Craft group. I posted my first challenge today. It's to use the song lyrics or title from Led Zeppelin's "Thank You" on a layout.. I have a fun template from Crafter's Workshop as a prize. If you want to try to win it, come on over to the group and meet some nice people in the process. Lots of other stuff going on over there too.. including a 24 hour crop on July 22nd.

The DT theme this month over there is to create layout using 'poles'..like ski poles, telephone poles..so my mind has been swimming with ideas. I think I know what I want to do, but that one is tough. I'll show it to you all when I'm done.

Yesterday I hung out with some friends and cropped for a few hours.. I was able to get 3 layouts done..

Birds of a Feather.... this one is of me and my mom. Used BG Lime Rickey and the sketch is from the Page Maps book.

Rock Star.. this is a layout of the hubby with a friend. We were at a party where my DH and his band were playing.. my DH is on the left.. =) I used the Creative Imaginations paper from Marah Johnson..

Beauty... this is my favorite layout to date i think. my great niece.. she is so dang cute. I used all Fancy Pants on this. some overlays and rubons.. with a little ink and a glaze pen..

and I don't know if I shared this or not, but Fancy Pants is my all time favorite manufacturer of paper and scrappy goodness... so imagine my surprise when i came upon 60 sheets of paper for only $19.99 at Crop Chocolate.. i was in heaven. they are older lines, but awesome... i never had access to them much cause my LSS didn't start carrying the line until just recently. I use to just drool over it on the web and never bought anything unless I happened across some on my travels...well, my paper came in the mail last night and here is a tiny peak of what I got.. i Love it all.. i can't wait to use it.

And last but not least, I want to share the birthday present my dear friend Lea bought me. It's a K and Co tote. I just love it.. so dang cute.. just the perfect bag to take to crops and bring home lots of new goodies.. =)

this is the inside. tons of pockets on one side and 12x12 paper storage on the other.. perfect.

I think that's it.. Last night we went to fireworks at a friends house, so tonight I think I'm going to hang out at home. The DH is filling in for a band and I just don't feel like fighting the crowds on such a busy holiday weekend.. Our town hosts a 3 night fireworks blitz and tonight is the finale. tons of people from all over will be milling the streets.. just not up to it..

I hope you all are enjoying your holiday. I am.. Happy 4th and stay safe.. =)
