a little family time

Hi friends. It's been a whole week since I was posting last. I was gearing up for my vacation. I've been on vacation since last Friday. Friday was my 11th wedding anniversary. We had a nice day. We always try to go out to eat at someplace new or different. For a few years, we tried a few places and they stunk. this year was a good one. We went to a quaint little place in our downtown called Fusion Cafe. it was awesome. sushi and some awesome Japanese BBQ beef. so many flavors and textures. yum.

I did get to scrapbook over the weekend with Lea. We are going to be starting up a little challenge blog, mostly for us, but we will invite anyone who wants to play with us to join along. I will be launching our blog this weekend. If you are like us, you have tons of scrapbook items and need new and fun ways to use up you stash. so, stay tuned for that. =)

The last couple days my husband and I went to visit my mom and step dad. I got to enjoy a lot of scrapbooking with my mom and my hubby enjoyed golfing with my step dad. great family time. I love them so much. And my mom is becoming quite the scrapbooker. here is a layout she did of my step dad at my uncle's farm. she does a lot of picture and paper piecing.

She even tipped me off to a cute cropper hopper storage cart that was at Sams Club for $29. Had to have it. =)

I was able to complete 5 singles and a double pager while at my moms. I haven't taken pictures yet, but I will get them posted soon.

I need to get off the computer and help the hubby with some yard work. I will be back soon.
